Thanks so much for a wonderful day – we had a ball with you! The guests especially enjoyed doing the backdrop photos.

The cake was made by my childhood next door neighbour, Ida McLeod. The red velvet cake is a favourite of Mei’s, a classic southern U.S. recipe. We had thought of skipping the cake altogeter, but then stole the idea from Ellen Degeneres & Portia de Rossi! (http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20220057,00.html)

The music was played by Ben Sherridan and Jeff Ramage of Twelve. They managed a beautiful acoustic version of ‘Somebody’ by Depeche Mode, and also played ‘Divinity’ by Amorphous Androgynous (aka FSOL).

My suit was from Duncan Quinn – a British ex-pat, ex-corporate lawer now style icon bringing Savile Row tailoring to the states. (http://duncanquinn.com) Mei’s beautiful dress was from Claire Pettibone (http://www.clairepettibone.com/)

Barbara Walton was a beautifully humble and humourous celebrant (http://perthweddings.com.au/) and the day went off without a hitch thanks to Jenn Veza (http://originalwedding.com.au/). The stunning flower arrangements were made from all local, in-season flowers! Thanks to Flowers by Michelle (http://www.flowersbymichelle.com.au/)

The day was meant to be simple and enjoyable, but bring together our values and the things we love with classic understated style and class. Naturally, you were the only choice as photographer!
